UNMC College of Nursing RN-BSN Early Admission Pathway

The Early Admission pathway is available for students meeting the outlined criteria who are currently attending an ADN program at one of the following community colleges:
Central Community College
Northeast Community College
Western Nebraska Community College
Metropolitan Community College
Mid-Plains Community College
Southeast Community College

We expect students to begin RN-BSN courses no later than 1 year after graduating from their ADN program.

RN-BSN Early Admission Pathway Criteria
To be eligible for Early Admission, students must meet and maintain the following criteria: -Have at least one semester/quarter completed of Nursing specific courses -Maintain a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA -Have no repeated nursing courses -Have no failed nursing courses -Successfully complete all required prerequisite courses with no repeated courses. -Must have met with a designated UNMC CON advisor twice a year prior to matriculation. Before beginning any UNMC courses you must: -Provide proof of an unencumbered registered nurse license once ADN program is completed -Complete application to the UNMC RN to BSN program through NursingCAS meeting published deadlines and fulfilling all admission criteria. -Must complete all required UNMC and CON compliances
